All this is done for celebrating our nationally important day and making a positive difference in the lives of underprivileged students. The goal of the entire event is to create awareness on cycling and the education of under-privileged students, especially for the students of five schools adopted by The Atlanta Foundation – namely - Anjaiah Nagar Government Primary School, Siddique Nagar Government Primary School, Gachibowli Primary School, and CNN Tanda Primary School.
Organized by the The Atlanta Foundation , a registered trust that promotes the cause of health and education, these rides are also supported by the prominent industry forums namely NASSCOM, HYSEA, TiE, etc. The health benefits of Cycling are immense. It is one of the easiest ways to exercise, and people can ride almost anywhere, any time and all through the year. There is no need to spend a fortune, as TAF routinely provides cycles to hundreds of people to try cycling to explore it as a means of recreation, fitness etc.
“Cycling builds strength and muscle tone, builds stamina, improves cardio-vascular fitness, it burns calories, improves health, coordination and reduces stress. Cycling can be integrated into any fitness program. We urge people in city particularly corporate executives to get into active cycling – ‘Cycle to Work’. Participate in cycling events, encourage your family members cycle frequently” said Deenanath Harapanahalli, Founder and CEO, The Atlanta Foundation.
