FKS plans to invest Rs. 35 Crores in next 2 years to set up 50 outlets across different locations

HYDERABAD, APRIL 30th 2015:  Food Krafters & Services LLP (FKS) a company promoted by Mr Khalil Ahmed has acquired Hyderabad House (HH), the pioneering Brand which provided & popularized the iconic Hyderabadi Kacche Ghost ki Biryani & other Deccan delicacies, to the food connoisseurs through its multiple outlets across the world.

With an objective to add more vibrancy and visibility, FKS intends to rebrand Hyderabad House in an all new design, with a view of providing traditional culinary experience to its patrons in a semi QSR format.

FKS will also bring on board a fresh team of expert Professional Chefs and Traditional Master Chefs with rich and varied experience to prepare and offer the best food experience to its customers.

FKS also plans to further strengthen Hyderabad House’s catering business by offering on-site services for weddings, corporate events, conferences and other private banquets, and offering more than 1000 new and expanded items on the menu in addition to the Distinctive “Mehmaan Nawaazi” service.

Announcing the deal Mr Khalil Ahmed, Managing Director- Food Krafters & Services LLP said “The deal would serve Food Krafters establish a firm foothold in the food retail industry. Hyderabad House fits well in our scheme of things and we intend to grow and expand using this brand name. Our objective is to do business while celebrating our traditional Indian culture, and we want everyone to get a taste of it. With every dish we serve, we strive to bring our heritage to life.”

The company will open a flagship outlet in Hyderabad and plans to expand across the country investing 35 crores in next 2 years to set up 50 outlets through a combination of company owned and franchisee route. A central commissary will be set at each regional hub which will cater to the outlets in that territory.

Food Krafters & Services LLP is a SPV setup by Mr. Khalil Ahmed & his daughter Ms. Sumaiya Khalil to foray and channelize their investments in the food industry. FKS intends to enter the food retail through this acquisition and further expand its footprint through other value additions and expansions.

Mr. Khalil Ahmed’s name is synonymous with the name of the Country’s first biotech company, SHANTA BIOTECH, which researched and developed India’s first genetically engineered health care product. They made history with the launch of the first indigenous r-DNA vaccine for Hepatitis B in India. Shanta Biotech was the recipient of many prestigious national awards. Mr. Khalil Ahmed was the co-founder and Executive Director of the Company since inception till 2009. Mr. Khalil invests in entrepreneurial opportunities through his proprietary funds.

Ms. Sumaiya Khalil is a graduate from Singapore Management University with a double major in Finance & Marketing. After interning for a year, she chose to become entrepreneur. She handles the Marketing initiative for the new Brand.

About Hyderabad House

In 1975, Mir Babar Ali started a catering business in the city of Hyderabad.  Subsequently, his son, Mazhar stepped into the family business. In 1998, he set up the first Hyderabad House restaurant at Masab Tank, Hyderabad. Over the years, the brand grew from being a single restaurant to a chain of almost 40 stores across India.

Hyderabad House has outlets in Australia, Nepal, Saudi Arabia and UAE.

Hyderabad House Pvt Ltd has now sold the rights to the brand name “HYDERABAD HOUSE” to Food Krafters & Services LLP
