 Providing water supply to the upstream areas of Lingampally and Hydernagar 

Master Balancing reservoirs.

Earlier these two master balancing reservoirs used to receive water from 

Manjeera Phase-I, Phase-II, Phase-III and Phase-IV schemes. 

The trunk mains from Patancheru to Lingampally and Patancheru to Hydernagar  

are passing through Lingampally areas. Therefore, earlier the water supply to the 

enroute colonies used to be directly drawn from these trunk mains before the 

water reaches to the master balancing reservoirs. 

In the present scenario due to no drawals from Singur and Manjeera, water is 

not flowing through these mains from Patancheru to Lingampally / Hydernagar 

In view of the above it is proposed to supply the water through these mains in 

the reverse direction from the Lingamaplly reservoir towards Patancheru and 

from Hydernagar reservoir towards Patancheru and to provide supplies to the 

enroute areas along these trunk mains. 

The required junction works and installation of pumps and motors and other 

connected works are completed at Lingampally reservoir. 

The supplies are released from Hydernagar reservoir to the following areas : J.P. 

Nagar, Mayuri Nagar, Deepti Sri Nagar, F.C.I Colony, Old Hafeezpet, 

Mythrinagar, Madinnaguda areas. 

Further the other areas such as Suraksha colony, Gowtham Nagar, Gangaram 

part are also programmed to be supplied from Lingampally reservoir in the 

reverse direction from the trunk mains. 

 Providing mobile tanker supply.

Due to no supplies from Singur and Manjeera sources to its command areas, 

there was a sudden rise in booking of tankers. Now with close monitoring and 

diversion of tankers it has been normalized and same will be continued without 

much difficulties to the customers.

 Commissioning of new reservoirs in the old city. 

It is proposed to commission the new reservoir at Bandlaguda including its 

distribution network on 10.12.2015 by completing all the balance minor finishing 

works to provide water supply to about 10,000 houses which are dependent only 

on tanker and borewell supply since many years. It is programmed to open one 

special single window cell unit to sanction the new water supply connections 

instantly to avoid any delays duly verifying all the documents at site to prevent 

the prospective customers without going around many offices and it also 

prevents the unauthorized connections.
